Brevard Health Alliance Partners With Street to Home
Brevard Health Alliance is proud to announce our partnership with Street to Home. Community non-profit, Street to Home, aims to advance progress on ending homelessness in South Brevard through supportive housing. The organization’s distinct values set them apart, as they aspire to employ collective impact to create opportunities of high leverage to solve a complex social issue.
Street to Home’s Mission
In Melbourne, Florida, homelessness is a pressing community issue. Although progress is being made, there is much work to be done. Street to Home partners have assisted over 100 residents undergoing chronic homelessness to achieve housing stability.
According to Keith Donald, Steadytown founder and chief executive officer, The Housing Authority of Brevard County are allocating resources to create supportive housing for those with the greatest needs. $14 million of equity is being invested in the construction of affordable housing. This is more than any single organization might accomplish alone–it is the result of a collective, leveraged approach.
Brevard Health Alliance and Street to Home Collaboration
Brevard Health Alliance continually aims to improve the health status of Brevard County’s medically underserved populations through quality primary health care, dental health care, mental health care, preventive services, and educational services. We believe our values naturally align with Street to Home’s mission as we agree that housing is health care.
To help fulfill this community need, Brevard Health Alliance will clinically lead the Critical Transitions Team with partners Daily Bread and South Brevard Sharing Center. Currently, Brevard Health Alliance and other partners are hiring the following roles for the Critical Transition Team:
